International Shipping and GST - Price Includes Shipping
Products sold within Australia incur a 10% goods and services tax (GST). All
prices on our web page include GST in Australian Dollars. International

eligible to receive a GST refund upon presentation of their Tax Invoice on
departure from Australia to a customs officer at an International Airport or
embarkation port. Currency Converter
www.xe.com opens new window
International orders that we send overseas do not incur GST. However as the cost
of shipping internationally depends on a number of factors for example size,
weight and destination we will apply the GST equivalent towards the shipping
cost. In plain words the price you see on the Web site is what you pay and
includes shipping to you - anywhere in the world.
Please note that you are still responsible for any Taxes or Customs charges that
may be applied by the destination country.
Typically a 30 inch framed product can cost us almost $200 to Ship to the USA or
England so the GST equivalent offsets less than half of this amount; we think
this is a good deal for our international customers.
Destination Country Customs Charges.
International Customers Please Note: All import duties and taxes levied by your
country are payable by you.
International freight charges are included in your order, but import duties and
other taxes, which may be levied in the country of destination, cannot be
assessed by John Temple Gallery and are therefore NOT included. You must agree
to pay those duties and taxes to the Freight Company or customs officer or
customs agent upon request.
In the event that You fail to pay all the relevant import duties and local taxes
at the time of import, You authorise John Temple Gallery to charge to you credit
card with any costs, including charges which may be incurred by the shipping
company in relation to my delivery such as but not limited to storage or
engaging a customs agent.
Returns.
Prints and Framing. This is what we do!
We don’t sell cakes or bread or anything other than our prints and our frames.
All prints are printed by John and every frame is made at our Tasmanian gallery.
We work hard to achieve a quality product for your lasting enjoyment and we
stand behind that product. Every John Temple print and framed product is
guaranteed.
Our guarantee to you.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase we will provide a refund or credit
to you against your next purchase.
After you receive and unpack your purchase if you feel that it is not suitable
or if there is something wrong with the product such as shipping damage, there
are a number of steps to follow and this depends if the product is damaged or if
you deem it not to be suitable.
1. Product not suitable.
- Please contact John at the gallery via email or phone and so that we are able
to discuss with you why it is not suitable. We will then arrange a refund or
credit against your next purchase.
- Product must be returned in original packing or packed as well as it was when
shipped to you, with the RA# clearly visible on the outside of the package.
- You, as the purchaser are responsible for return shipping charges. We do
not accept COD.
- Product must be suitable for resale. It is subject to inspection before a
refund or credit is issued.
2. Product Damaged or a problem found.
-- Contact John at the gallery via email or phone discuss what is wrong.
- Arrange a digital photograph of the product clearly showing the problem and
email it to John.
- Depending on the severity or nature of the problem we may make a suggestion as
to how it may be fixed or if it cannot be fixed to your satisfaction we will
discuss if we are to reship a new product or if a credit or refund is more
appropriate.
- If John determines that the product is to be returned to us then we pay the
shipping.
Very Important - You must contact the gallery before attempting to ship any
product to obtain an RA Number (Return Authority Number).
3. Print Only
Great care should be taken when handling the print to avoid fingerprints,
scratching and buckling. Handle the print only by the edges. We strongly advise
that you carefully follow the instructions on the package for print only that
recommends that you open the print package in the presence of an experience
framer of your choice. It may be preferable to avoid opening your print until
you have taken it your chosen framer and allow them to open it at the same time
you choose your mats and frame.
This serves two purposes. Photographic prints as are all works of art, delicate
and do not handle well. Your framer will have many years experience in handling
prints effectively.
By opening the print with your framer, in his workshop, you both see that the
print is free of any marks or defects at the time you leave it with the framer.
Special Print Guarantee
Sometimes even the most experienced framers can have a hiccup. In the event
something does go wrong that causes damage to the print whilst in the care of
your framer you should negotiate with him or her regarding compensation. However
we will reprint the product at a nominal charge and not the full retail price.
We do require evidence that the original print is destroyed. With Limited
editions we require a section of the image with the title and print number to be
returned to the John Temple Gallery before we will re-issue a Limited Edition
Print.
A small charge for Insurance and registered post will also be made.
Please Choose carefully.
Because we pay the freight to you for each purchase we ask that you choose
carefully and our web site is set up to show a close representation of what the
final product will look like. Our preview page shows the mat and framing
combinations.
You should be aware that your screen may not accurately display colours; it
will vary from computer to computer. It is unlikely for example that you could
hold up one of our prints next to your screen and see them match. The images
that we load to the web are of a much lower quality than we use to print with
for one thing.
